Dedicated to authentic Montessori education, the staff at North Shore Montessori School are highly trained, talented, and love working with children. We believe great educators are our best asset.

Tracy T.

Head of School

Tracy founded North Shore Montessori School in 2013. Her Montessori leadership journey started when she was first exploring schools for her own children, and led to her passion for this way of being in the universe with children. She has a BA from UW Madison, an MBA from Keller Graduate School, and a Montessori Whole School Leadership Certificate. She is an avid consumer of information and enjoys constantly learning about childhood development and education. Other hobbies include hiking, biking, skiing, and yoga.

Sarah D.

Enrollment and Communications Specialist

Sarah began with North Shore Montessori School in 2022. She was a Children's House guide for eight years in the public Montessori sector prior to this position. Both of her daughters attend and adore NSMS.  Sarah holds a BA in Journalism from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, an MA in Education from Loyola University in Baltimore, an AMI Primary Diploma from the Montessori Institute of San Diego, and a 500 hour yoga certification she received in Vietnam and Italy. She enjoys guiding families to find the best fit for their children's education journey, along with embroidering, yoga, gardening, and traveling.

Liz R.

Administrative Assistant

Liz joined the NSMS team in 2024. She has held various roles in local nonprofits and schools, where her passion for creativity and equity shaped her work building inclusive and supportive communities. Outside of work, Liz enjoys making art, reading, hiking with her dog, Milo, and trying new plant-based recipes.

Mary W.

Prima Community Guide

Mary Wong is originally from Laos and started working at North Shore Montessori in May of 2021. She holds a BS in Education from Alverno College, an AMS Primary Diploma from North American Montessori Center, and an AMI 0-3 Orientation Course Certificate from the Montessori Center of Minnesota. Mary enjoys gardening, word puzzles, visiting National Parks, and reading. Her favorite book is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

Kathie M.

Prima Community Guide

Kathie joined North Shore Montessori School in 2019. She holds an Associates degree in Early Childhood, an AMS Primary diploma from North American Montessori, and an AMI assistant training. In her free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, gardening, and reading.

Michelle B.

Prima Community Support Guide

Michelle joined NSMS in 2023 and resides in the North Shore area with her husband, daughter, and tuxedo cat. She holds a BA and a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and  her Montessori Assistant Training from NCMPS. Michelle enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, cooking, and anything to do with animals from hamsters to horses.

Charlie C.

Prima Community Support Guide

Charlie joined North Shore Montessori School in 2023. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Art and Illustration and has been an art teacher for all age groups, as well as a preschool teacher previously. Charlie has had his work published and has illustrated two children's books. Aside from drawing and painting, he enjoys live music, museums, and the lakefront.

Lizbeth C.

Children's House Guide

Lizbeth joined North Shore Montessori School in 2019. She was born in Illinois and her family is from Mexico. She holds a technical diploma in medical interpreting, has completed an apprenticeship in funeral directing, holds an AMI assistants training, and her AMI Primary Diploma from the Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, swimming, going on long walks at the lakefront, trying new coffee places, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.

Ash F.

Children's House Guide

Ash joined NSMS in 2017. He received his Elementary AMI diploma from Cuernavaca México and Primary AMI diploma from the Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies in Arizona. Ash is also pursuing his MA in Montessori Education from Loyola University and has a BA from UW-Milwaukee. He has an AMI primary assistant certificate, the Montessori Sports certificate, and a Spanish Language in the Elementary classroom certificate. Ash enjoys reading, traveling, art, running, taking care of his animals, plants, and swimming in his spare time.

Mia P.

Children's House Support Guide

Mia joined the NSMS team in 2023. She is originally from Arizona and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Nutrition Communication from Arizona State University.  Mia also has her Montessori Assistant Training from NCMPS.  She enjoys baking sourdough bread,  brewing kombucha, going on adventures, and especially taking long road trips.

Fuachi H.

Children's House Support Guide

Fuachi joined North Shore Montessori School in 2023. She obtained her BA and Masters in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Fuachi is a mother of two and loves to spend time with her family.  She also enjoys watching movies, cooking, and trying different foods.

Janey B.

Children's House Guide in Training

Janey joined North Shore Montessori in 2024 as a Children's House Support Guide. She currently lives in Milwaukee with her husband and three sons, two of which are students at NSMS. Janey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK and is currently earning her Primary AMI diploma from the Montessori Training Center Northeast. Janey enjoys yoga, baking and cooking, and spending time in nature with her family.

Elisa joined the NSMS team in 2024. She holds a degree in Education with a focus on mathematics from Grand Canyon University in Arizona. A proud first-time mom to a 15-month-old, Elisa is navigating the joys and hurdles of parenthood. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and playing Dungeons & Dragons

Nidhi B.

Elementary Guide

Nidhi joined North Shore Montessori School in 2017. She holds a BS in Botany Honors from Rajasthan, India and an AMI Elementary Diploma from the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee. She enjoys drawing cartoons, listening to music, dancing, traveling, watching movies, and roller coasters!

Sarah S.

Elementary Guide in Training

Sarah grew up in Grafton and currently lives in the Washington Heights

neighborhood of Milwaukee with her two children and dog. She earned her

degree in Communication with a focus in Global Studies from the University of

Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and is grateful for a life filled with the presence of

children and families that has clearly led her to teaching. Sarah is currently  earning her AMI Elementary training from the Montessori Institute of Denver. Sarah enjoys

running, drawing, being in nature, spending time in community with others, a

good laugh, and all things child development.

Matt P.

Elementary Support Guide

Matt joined North Shore Montessori School in 2023. He is from San Diego, California and will be receiving a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management this December from Grand Canyon University. Matt enjoys watching sports, playing guitar and piano, writing songs, spending time with family and friends, and being outside.

Jacklyn K.

Spanish Language and Culture Specialist lture Specialist

Jackie has worked in several roles within the NSMS programs since 2016.  Jackie received her MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2019 and is a Board Certified – Dance/Movement Therapist.

She loves working with people to help them learn new communication techniques and create connections through music, movement, and culture. Jackie was born in Wisconsin, with an extended family from Mexico City.  She loves to use her love of her culture in her work with others. As a new mother, Jackie likes to play with her daughter, dance, sing, travel, and walk with her family by the lake.

Brooke T.

Student Development Specialist

Brooke has been raising her family in Whitefish Bay for the past 20 year and is the parent of a North Shore Montessori alum. She earned a BS in Early Childhood Special Education from UW-Madison, her Master’s degree in Special Education from Cal State-LA, and an Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate from UW-Madison. She has taught in the classroom, itinerantly, and worked in private practice with families of children with autism. She most recently led REDgen, a nonprofit which advocates for youth mental health. She believes in the power of early childhood education and is passionate about meeting each child’s unique social, emotional, and academic needs.
